Drake Finally Announces Release Date for “More Life”
Drake's upcoming "playlist", titled More Life, finally has a release date.
D uring the Germany leg of his "Boy Meets World Tour" on Friday (March 10), the rapper told fans that he was extremely close to finalizing the upcoming project. "I know it’s taken me a while, but I’m going to the hotel tonight to finish this More Life sh*t so I can give it to you as soon as possible," Drake said. "I hope you’re ready to enjoy some new music."
He then followed by officially announcing a March 18th release date on Instagram.
Drizzy first announced More Life in October, with a target release in December. He obviously missed that date and fans have been waiting ever since.
He's calling it a "playlist", and has said that it will be like an episode of OVOSOUND Radio with all new music. "It’s just an evolution of the mixtape," Drake says. "It was getting tough to be like, 'I’m dropping a mixtape but it’s for sale on iTunes.' It was like, 'Oh, that’s your album.' I didn’t want people to say this is my next album. Views was my album. This is something that, after Views, I was just inspired. I wanted to keep the music flowing."
