Land Rover Teases New Range Rover: the Velar
Nearly 50 years after launching its original Range Rover, Land Rover has teased the fourth member of the family: the Velar.
Set to be unveiled on March 1 at the New York Auto Show, the SUV is said to be crafted from unique sustainable materials, while featuring advanced engineering.
The name itself, Velar (pronounced vel-ar), dates back to the first Range Rover prototypes of the 1960s: the pioneers of the luxury SUV landscape.
"We call the Velar the avant-garde Range Rover. It brings a new dimension of glamour, modernity and elegance to the brand. The Range Rover Velar changes everything," says Land Rover Chief Design Officer, Gerry McGovern.
Full details will be unveiled on March 1. Stay tuned...
