Cam’ron Responds to Jim Jones’ Emotional Interview
Cam'ron went live on Instagram on Saturday evening (Feb. 11) to respond to Jim Jones' interview on Hot 97 earlier in the week.
If you missed it, Jimmy got very emotional during a radio interview with Funkmaster Flex while talking about the history between him and Cam, saying he held him down for years and feel betrayed by him. "Before I got all the pieces together, I was everything; I was the hypeman, I was the road manager, I was the manager, I was the security," said Jim. "Everything you could name, I was it for Cam."
Following a lot of online chatter and backlash, Cam took to IG Live this weekend to respond, denying many of Jim's claims, which he essentially said was Jim's way of justifying his deal with Roc Nation.
"How the hell was I hating, when I was advocating for this dude to become a rapper?" Cam asked. "That sh*t is lies, bro. Word to my mama."
"He was NOT my muscle. He was my man...He was my hypeman," he later added. "We didn't grow up together. We got cool at 20 years old. Jim never had the guns, b.... I had the guns. Google it."
Cam did go on to say that he's hasn't tried to diss Jim, but simply clear the air with the truth. And in the end, he said he still has love for Jim, despite their public falling out. "I want Jim to succeed. I'm happy he's happy. I don't know if he's happy or not...I want him to win," Cam said. "I don't got no beef with you... I really love you. If it really really came down to it... It gotta be an emergency, hit me."
