Kanye West Withdraws Support For Donald Trump
After drawing criticism for his support for then-President Elect Donald Trump back in December, it appears Kanye West is backpedaling.
In wake of Trump's controversial immigration ban, Kanye has scrubbed his Twitter feed of past tweets in support of the President.
If you recall, before his hospitalization, Kanye revealed that he hadn't voted during one of his "Saint Pablo Tour" stops, but said he would've cast his vote for Trump if he did. A month later, following his mental breakdown, he met with Trump in New York City and posed for some photos that were heavily circulated... and he garnered heavy criticism.
After the meeting, Kanye took to Twitter to explain his decision to meet with Trump, saying he was hoping to open a direct line of communication to spark change.
"I feel it is important to have a direct line of communication with our future President if we truly want change," he tweeted. "I wanted to meet with Trump today to discuss multicultural issues. These issues included bullying, supporting teachers, modernizing curriculums, and violence in Chicago."
