Kevin Love Scores 34 Points in Historic First Quarter Performance

Kevin Love went off on Wednesday (Nov. 23), when he had a historic first quarter against the Portland Trail Blazers, scoring 34 points.

The performance was the second-most points in a quarter in NBA history and the most in a quarter in Cleveland Cavaliers history. It's also the most points in a first quarter in NBA history.

Love finished the quarter 11-for-14 from the field and 8-for-10 from beyond the arc. Six of his eight 3-pointers came off LeBron James assists.

Despite the massive first quarter, Love finished the game with 40 points, scoring just six more points in the game.
