Daniel Cormier

UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier has reportedly pulled out of a scheduled title defense against Anthony Johnson at UFC 206, due to injury.

Details are unknown, but sources say DC (18-1) suffered an undisclosed injury that will likely require surgery and will sideline him for four to six weeks. The UFC has yet to comment.

Cormier was scheduled to take on Johnson in the headlining bout on the PPV card on Dec. 10 at Air Canada Centre in Toronto.

Johnson (22-5) addressed the situation on Twitter, saying he hopes Cormier has a "full recovery."

Its currnetly unknown if Johnson will remain on the card, with a new opponent.

The co-main event of UFC 206 is a featherweight bout between Max Holloway and Anthony Pettis.
