2016 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade Offered in 360-Degree Live Stream

Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade

While watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in person in the streets of New York City is the best way to experience it, this year, technology is giving us the next best thing.

For this year's parade, Macy’s is partnering with NBCUniversal and Verizon for a 360-degree live stream through Youtube.

360-degree cameras are being added along the route of the parade, so fans can watch online, from any angle, without leaving your home. Hosted on YouTube, viewers can watch it from any compatible web browser or handheld device.

In the preparation for the event, Macy’s is also posting 360-degree videos of behind-the-scenes studio tours, where you can check out how they set up the floats, balloons, and put the whole show together.

The 2016 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade kicks off No. 24 at 9 A.M. EST. Tune into Macy’s YouTube account on Thanksgiving here.
