Self-Lacing Nike HyperAdapt 1.0 Drops Dec. 1
After debuting the self-lacing Nike HyperAdapt 1.0 in March, Nike is finally pulling the trigger for its release.
Coming Dec. 1, the sneaker serves as the first performance vehicle for Nike’s latest technological breakthrough, which they called "adaptive lacing"... or power laces, which has been mostly tied to the Nike MAG model.
"The shoe translates deep research in digital, electrical and mechanical engineering into a product designed for movement," Nike says in a press release.
The Nike HyperAdapt 1.0 comes in a Black/White-Blue Lagoon colorway, and releases at the Nike Soho store and the NIKE+ ClubHouse in NYC -- where consumers can learn about and trial the product.
While the release is exciting, the pricetag may not be. It will retail for a whipping $720 USD.
Additionally, a small group of NIKE+ APP users will have limited early access on Nov. 28.
The launch colorway and a Metallic Silver/Black-White colorway will become available through the NIKE+ APP and select Nike doors in the U.S. sometime later in December.
