Andrew Bogut Says NBA is “Two-Faced” and “Fake”
After four years with the Golden State Warriors, center Andrew Bogut was dealt to the Dallas Mavericks during the off season, in a move meant to free up cap space for the eventual signing of Kevin Durant.
But, the trade led to criticisms surrounding Bogut's inability to stay healthy, following numerous injuries throughout his career.
In a recent interview with USA Today Sports, the 31-year-old veteran opened up about his departure from the Warriors... during which he called the entire league "fake".
When asked about rumors that the Warriors were questioning his durability, Bogut became very honest. "I don’t buy into the sources thing. I don’t buy into all that sh*t, because this league is so two-faced and everybody is so fake," he said. "The same people who made those comments will see me tomorrow and shake my hand and ask me how my family is. This league is full of people who are full of sh*t and shallow, and that’s what you figure out in pro sports. It’s very hard to meet a genuine person who you can call your friend in this league. That’s just the reality, and I understand that."
Ouch!! Bogut is probably right though, because teams are about their business.
