Kid Cudi Blasts Music Industry, Calls Out Kanye & Drake

Kid Cudi

Kid Cudi took to Twitter on Wednesday (Sept. 14) with a series of tweets aimed at the industry, and called out Kanye West and Drake by name.

"I need yall to know I got so many haters within the industry and these clowns know Im bout to crush their entire existance," he wrote. "Everyone thinks they’re soooo great. Talkin top 5 and be having 30 people write songs for them.

"The days of the f*ckery are over," Cudi added. "The fake ones wont be lasting too much longer... Im the one they worry about cause they know I dont give a f*ck about the corny sh*t they do."

"And all u jealous chicken hearted sh*ts I see you too. I am the culture... I keep silent because I dont ever wanna come off like some angry hater, but today, not only do I feel fantastic, Im feelin like taking over... I already have."

After the series of tweets, Cudi then clarified who he was talking about, naming Ye and Drizzy. "My tweets apply to who they apply. Ye, Drake, whoever. These n*ggas dont give a f*ck about me. And they aint f*ckin with me," he wrote. "N*ggas keep you close when they see how powerful you are by yourself. When they see your greatness. Out of fear."

Kid Cudi has been linked to Kanye West throughout his career, but have had a strained relationship in recent years. In April, however, Cudder called Yeezy his "big bro" and hit the studio with him to work on Ye's Turbo Grafx 16 album. "Me and Kanye are brothers," he said at the time. "With family, there’s always going to be issues and sh*t... We needed to have a big bro, lil bro convo. As soon as we had that, we were good.”

It's unclear what happened since then to make him change his mind.

Despite the disses, Cudi did name a number of new artists he does like, including the A$AP Mob and Travis Scott, among others.
