Dan Henderson Says UFC 204 Will Be His Last Fight
Dan Henderson will take on Michael Bisping for the second time at UFC 204 next month, with the UFC Middleweight title on the line. Win or lose, it will be the last time fans will see him fight.
The 46-year-old confirmed the news during a UFC press conference this week, following rumors that this would be his last fight.
"Win or lose, this is my last fight," Henderson said. "I'm very stuck on that. I have no desire to go on afterwards. Win or lose. Obviously, I'd like to finish with that belt. That would be an ideal ending for me, but I'm ready."
During his career, Henderson has won Pride FC championships in two divisions, won a Strikeforce title, but has yet to hold a UFC championship belt. He hopes to close out his career with one, if he can earn another win over the current champ in Bisping.
The two fought back in 2009 at UFC 100, and it was Dan taking the victory with second round knockout.
UFC 204: Bisping vs. Henderson 2 takes place on Oct. 8 at Manchester Arena in Manchester, England.
