Travis Scott Confirms Deal With Apple Music
Travi$ Scott announced that he had inked a major deal earlier this month.
In an Instagram post, he showed off a photo of himself and Apple's head of content Larry Jackson jumping in the air with the caption: "DONE DEAL".
Though details were not announced, it sparked rumors that Scott has signed with Apple Music, which Scott confirmed this week in an interview with DJ Whoo Kid on Shade 45.
"I just did my partnership with Apple Music and shit," he said. "Larry's f*cking amazing. That dude, he believes. He's always talked to me when I was like beginning off. He always gave me that advice. You know, just to figure out where I'm going. So, I’m glad he’s down to take this trip with the kid and with this album; it’s super good."
The album Scott speaks of is the anticipated Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight, which currently has no release date. But, he tells Whoo Kid that he's working on a short film to accompany the album.
Travi$ joins an elite group of artists who have partnered up with Apple Music -- including Drake, Chance the Rapper, Future, and Taylor Swift.
