Kim Kardashian covers FORBES

Kim Kardashian has become an expert in monetizing her celebrity, which has landed her on the July 2016 cover of Forbes.

Carrying the title "The New Mobile Moguls", the coverstory centers about Kim's ability to parlay her celebrity from a sex tape nearly a decade ago into an empire, which currently produces millions from her mobile endeavors.

There's the Kimoji app and her Kim Kardashian: Hollywood game, where players create their own celebrity, befriend Kim and work their way onto the A-list.

According to the report, since June 2014, Kim Kardashian: Hollywood has been downloaded 45 million times and generated $160 million in revenue. From that, Forbes estimates that she's pocketed $45 million for herself.

This year, Kim has earned a staggering $51 million to land at No. 42 on FORBES' Celebrity 100 list; 40% of her yearly paycheck came from the game.

"I became really intrigued with the tech world," Kardashian told Forbes. "I started spending a lot of time in San Francisco. I realized this is really going to be the next cycle of my career and this is what I want to focus on."
