Former UFC Fighter Ryan Jimmo Dead at 34
Former UFC fighter Ryan Jimmo died early Sunday morning (June 26), after he was struck by a vehicle in Edmonton, Alberta during a parking lot altercation. He was just 34.
According to ESPN, he police believe he had approached the driver of a vehicle and was walking back to his own car when he was struck by a vehicle, which then fled the scene.
Jimmo was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.
Police are still looking for the suspect vehicle, described as a dark colored, customized older model pickup truck.
During his MMA career, Jimmo went by the nickname "The Big Deal", and recorded a 19-5 record, going 3-4 record seven UFC fights.
Following news of his death, UFC president Dana White tweeted a photo of Jimmo with the caption "RIP Ryan Jimmo."
