Prince Be, of 1990s duo P.M. Dawn, has died from kidney disease. He was just 46 years old.

Reports said the rapper (born Attrell Cordes) passed way at his New Jersey home on Friday (June 17). He's apparently lived with diabetes, according to P.M. Dawn's Facebook page.

"Prince Be Rest In Peace forever more, Pain from Diabetes can't harm you anymore," reads a post on FB.

Cordes is survived by his wife Mary and three children: Christian, Mia, Brandon.

P.M. Dawn last released an album in 2000, but the duo (which also consists of Prince Be and his brother DJ Minutemix) impacted hip-hop in the early 1990s with their breakout single, "Set Adrift on Memory Bliss", which shot to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.

It appeared on their debut album, Of the Heart, of the Soul and of the Cross: The Utopian Experience, which eventually sold more than 850,000 copies.
