Here's some news about the upcoming Spider-Man: Homecoming. Actor Michael Keaton has signed on to join the cast as villain The Vulture, reports Deadline.

The character was introduced in the 1963 comic, Amazing Spider-Man Issue #2. He was born Adrian Toomes, an inventor who created a flight harness that offered enhanced strength and a longer lifespan. After finding that his business partner was embezzling funds, Toomes turned to a life of crime... becoming The Vulture.

The Vulture has also long-been tied to The Sinister Six, a supervillain team comprised of several enemies Spidey had consistently defeated... which could give Keaton a bigger role within the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

He joins Tom Holland, Marisa Tomei and Robert Downey Jr., all of which have been confirmed.

Spider-Man: Homecoming is due out July 7, 2017.
