Suge Knight Claims Dr. Dre Paid Gunman for 2014 Shooting
Here's another out-of-nowhere piece of news in the ongoing Suge Knight saga.
As the former hip-hop mogul sits in jail, awaiting trial for murder, his new lawyer Thaddeus Culpepper has filed legal docs alleging that Dr. Dre previously put a hit out on him.
According to TMZ, the docs allege that a deputy from the L.A. County Sheriff's Dept. was working the door at Hollywood's 1OAK nightclub when he was shot inside in 2014 during a VMAs weekend party.
His lawyer claims surveillance video clearly shows Deputy Henry Boyd letting the gunman inside the club, shortly before shots rang out.
Furthermore, the docs allege the shooter confessed that Dre paid him and a friend $50,000 for the hit. However, they claim the Sheriff's Dept. released the shooter from custody, and from there, was seen in a video at LAX, helping the gunman flee the country.
The docs claim Boyd was questioned by authorities about the shooting and subsequently resigned from the department.
Dre's camp calls the claim is "ridiculous."
