Yao Ming to Be Inducted into Basketball Hall of Fame
Arguably one of the greatest centers in NBA history, Yao Ming, has been elected to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, says reports.
The 7-foot-6 former Houston Rockets player was the first pick in the 2002 draft, and would go on to help bring the NBA to China.
Yao Ming is an eight-time NBA All-Star, who averaged 19 points, 9.2 rebounds and 1.9 blocks per game in eight seasons.
His NBA career was cut short, however, when he retired in 2011 following a series of foot and ankle injuries.
