Mya Returns With New EP, “Smoove Jones”

Mya - Smoove Jones

Singer Mya returns with her first new project since 2011's K.I.S.S. -- a new EP titled Smoove Jones.

She releases the project in celebration of her 1998 debut single, "It's All About Me," which reached #6 on the Billboard Hot 100.

"It's been an amazing 18 years in the music industry, but to have my day-one fans and new fans receptive to my new music is truly a blessing. Smoove Jones is a project that I wanted to have a very grown feel, but was still reminiscent of the old me," Mya says.

For the project, she collaborated with producer Terry Lewis, from the duo Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, as well as singer Kalenna Harper, Teron Beal, and Nikki Flores. Features are kept to a minimum, with Phil Ade appearing on "Hold On".

The title itself, Smoove Jones, was inspired by Mya's studio nickname, given to her by fellow artist, Cliff Lewis.
