McLaren Introduces the 570GT: Their “Most Luxurious” Model To Date
Though supercars aren't meant to be an everyday driver, McLaren hopes to change that with the introduction of its latest model: the 570GT.
Billed as "the most luxurious and refined of any McLaren to date," the new supercar sports an airy cabin and side-opening rear glass hatch, allowing for additional storage space. And while the extra space is nice, McLaren doesn't skimp on craftsmanship and performance.
The exterior boasts a unique aerodynamic package, highlighted by an extended fixed rear spoiler, while the front facias remains unchanged from the 570S Coupé. Under the hood, we see the same 3.8-liter twin turbo V8 M838TE as the 570S Coupé, as well as the adjustable seven-speed seamless-shift transmission. This comes out to 562 horsepower and 443 pound-feet of torque.
Inside, the 570GT boasts leather upholstery with electrically adjustable eight-way heated sports seats, front and rear parking sensors and a centrally-mounted touchscreen. The eight-speaker McLaren Audio Plus system now comes standard and can even be upgraded to a specially tuned twelve-speaker Bowers & Wilkins system.
The McLaren 570GT will make its debut in Geneva next month, and soon be available with prices starting at £154,000 GBP (approximately $214,339 USD).
