Kanye West Debuts New Song; Addresses Taylor Swift, Amber Rose
The Life of Pablo is only available on TIDAL, but with a rumored physical release coming, new tracks are still being unveiled.
Following his Twitter tirade on producer Bob Ezrin, Ye premiered a new track at Yo Gotti's release party at 1OAK nightclub in Los Angeles this week. Reportedly titled "Closet Thing to Einstein," the song features British singer Sampha, and sees Kanye West address a number of topics, from his "debt" to people "trying to say [he's] going crazy on Twitter."
He also calls himself "this generation's closest thing to Einstein" and claims he's the "modern day MJ, with an Off the Wall flow."
Before previewing the track, he spoke to the crowd ... where he addressed Taylor Swift, regarding his lyric about her on his T.L.O.P. cut, "Famous". "I called Taylor," he explained. "I talked to my wife about it and I said, 'How you feel about this line, Taylor?' ...She said, 'Ooh, Kanye, I like that line.' "
As he continued, he refuted sexual claims Amber Rose tweeted about him last month. "That bitch ain't never stick no fingers in my ass," he said. "I don't play like that."
Kanye goes on to say that Louis Vuitton promised him a deal, but backed out... and even talked about TIDAL and Jay Z's attempt to change the music industry.
"Do you know what Hov had to go through to make music for y'all?" he asked. "Reasonable Doubt, Blueprint 1. How many people had Blueprint 1? Y'all had Blueprint 1 but y'all act like TIDAL wack. That man fought to buy a streaming company... We changing the paradigm right now. If y'all love me, y'all love Hov, y'all love the music that we made for y'all, I need y'all to sign up for TIDAL tonight and change the paradigm."
This week, reports said The Life of Pablo has helped TIDAL double its subscriptions.
