Grizzlies’ Gasol Out for Season, After Surgery on Broken Foot
Memphis Grizzlies center Marc Gasol will be out for the rest of the season, after having surgery on his broken right foot.
The team announced Tuesday (Feb. 24) that Gasol had procedure to repair a fracture in his right foot over the weekend, and is expected to make a full recovery... but will be out for the season.
The 31-year-old suffered the injury on Feb. 8. He's averaged 16.6 points, 7.0 rebounds and 3.8 assists this season.
It's a big loss for the Grizzlies, who are currently in fifth place in the Western Conference, with a 32-23 record.
