Kanye West’s “TLOP” Album Doubles TIDAL’s Subscribers
When Kanye West declares himself the "most impactful artist of all-time", it may be an exaggeration, but you cannot deny the impact he does have.
According to TMZ, his new album, The Life of Pablo, helped streaming service TIDAL double its subscribers from 1 million to 2.5 million... after being streamed more than 100 million times.
That boost could total around $15 million in additional revenue for the company.
Furthermore, TMZ claims that a physical version of T.L.O.P. could be on the way, though it's yet to be confirmed. For now, it's living strictly on TIDAL.
Earlier this month, Kanye declared that the album would never be for sale. "My album will never never never be on Apple," he tweeted. "And it will never be for sale... You can only get it on TIDAL," he wrote on Twitter.
