Taylor Swift Responds to Kanye West during Grammys Speech
After Kanye West dissed her on a song from his new album, Taylor Swift responded in a very classy way at last night's Grammys.
While accepting the Album of the Year award at the 58th Grammy Awards, the pop star shot back at Ye's misogynistic behavior in her speech ... without mentioning his name.
"As the first woman to win Album of the Year at the Grammys twice, I want to say to all the young women out there: There are going to be people along the way who will try to undercut your success or take credit for your accomplishments or your fame, but if you just focus on the work and you don’t let those people sidetrack you, someday when you get where you are going, you'll look around and you will know that it was you and the people who love you who put you there and that will be the greatest feeling in the world," Swift said.
Kanye infamously rushed the stage during Swift's acceptance speech at the 2009 VMAs, saying: "Yo, Taylor, I'm really happy for you, I'm [going to] let you finish -- but Beyoncé had one of the best videos of all time."
Then, last week, while debuting his new The Life of Pablo album, the rapper took shots at Swift again in a song called "Famous," rapping: "I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex, I made that bitch famous."
TMZ reported that Kanye actually gave Swift a heads up about the song... and the lyrics were all in good fun. However, it appears Taylor doesn't quite feel comfortably with Kanye dissing her with such lyrics.
