Kobe Bryant Gifted Entire Air Jordan Line as Retirement Gift
Jordan Brand presented Kobe Bryant with a gift on Friday (Feb. 12) in Toronto for All-Star Weekend -- a full set of the entire Air Jordan line.
The gift was presented to Kobe as a retirement gift, as he finishes off his farewell tour.
"The Jordan Brand is about more than basketball, it's about leaving a legacy and honoring those who have left a legacy," said Jordan Brand president Larry Miller. "Tonight the brand was able to honor one of the game's great players and the legacy that he created."
Each sneaker in the set comes in white -- including the Air Jordan 3 and 8, which Kobe wore on the court in 2002-03 -- and featuring purple and gold accents, a nod to his home with the Los Angeles Lakers.
A matching set in all black was also given to Kobe, which will be auctioned off for charity on eBay... which begins on Saturday (Feb. 13) at 9 am PT and continues for 24 hours.
