Pelicans Guard Tyreke Evans to Miss Season
New Orleans Pelicans guard Tyreke Evans has missed the past seven games due to pain from right knee tendinitis, and now, will miss the season to undergo surgery.
According to Yahoo Sports, the 26-year-old is scheduled to to meet with specialists this week to finalize the details of his surgery... which will sideline him for the rest of the season.
It will be his third on his right knee since last May, reports The New Orleans Times-Picayune.
Evans exits as the Pelicans' third-leading scorer, averaging 15.2 points a game, alongside 6.6 assists and 5.2 rebounds per game. And for those who don't remember, he was also the 2009-10 rookie of the year, after being the No. 4 draft pick by the Sacramento Kings.
