Kanye West’s Album May Not Be “WAVES”, Also Talks Wiz Khalifa

Kanye West

Kanye West appeared on Big Boy's Neighborhood on Thursday (Feb. 4), where he revealed that WAVES may not be the title anymore.

"We don't have a name yet," he said.

Despite the indecisiveness, Ye will debut the album at New York's Madison Square Garden on Feb. 11, while also revealing Yeezy Season 3.

In addition to the album title news, Kanye discussed a number of topics, from it being a "gospel album" to Drake's diss to his beef with Wiz Khalifa.

Listen to the interview below, as well as some highlights.

On Kendrick Lamar: "With Kendrick, that's God MC, so can't no record go out without him approving exactly the mix and how it sounds and his voice and everything like that."

A gospel album? "This is a gospel album with a whole lot of cursing on it, but it's still a gospel album. It's the gospel, according to 'Ye. It's not exactly what happened in the Bible, but it's a story of this idea of Mary Magdalene becoming Mary."

On Wiz Khalifa: "My brother Malik Yusef got us on the phone. He's very close with Wiz. He's also very close with me. We chopped it up, squashed it. For people who felt a way about the kid comment, I didn't mean it in a harmful way. I just saw my wife's initials and reacted because that's my family."

On Drake's diss, saying his pool is bigger than his: "I have three pools."

On getting Tupac on the album: "Wow. You know what? I hadn't thought about that, but I wonder if there is a 'Pac verse or something that we could find. I'm not sure."
