Iggy Azalea Says Her Label Doesn’t Wanna See Her Shine
Iggy Azalea returned with a brand new single earlier this month, titled "Azillion", but despite getting nearly 1 million plays... her label isn't supporting it.
The rapper took to Twitter this week, revealing that her label, Virgin/EMI, doesn't think the song deserved a video.
"Bad news update:my record label Virgin/EMI seems to feel the response to my viral record 'zillon' wasnt good enough & im not allowed a video," Iggy tweeted. "I felt like it was dope so, whatever. ted cockle doesnt wanna see me shine. what can i say."
Cockle is the President of Virgin Records... if you're wondering.
She went on to say that the issue goes beyond money, saying the label wants to get a pop star on the song to make it more "radio friendly".
Iggy is currently working on her sophomore album, titled Digital Distortion. There is no release date yet.
