Former NBA Player Tate George Gets 9 Years For Ponzi Scheme
Former NBA player Tate George has been sentenced to nine years in prison for running a real estate Ponzi scheme, reports ESPN.
The 47-year-old was convicted in 2013 on four wire fraud counts, after ripping off a number of victims, including current and former NBA players and celebrities, for millions.
Tate was also ordered to pay $2.5 million in restitution and serve three years of supervised release.
He has been jailed since 2013.
