Ronda Rousey Says Holly Holm Rematch Will Happen This Year
Though it's unclear when, former UFC women's champion Ronda Rousey says her highly anticipated rematch against Holly Holm will happen sometime this year.
In an interview with TMZ, Rousey said the rematch against Holm is still "all I want to do."
"It's sometime later in the year," she said. "They haven't told me an exact date or location. It's a decision we're all going to make together. I'm kind of waiting to hear from them on what options they're going to give me."
UFC president Dana White recently told Yahoo Sports that Rousey would not return at UFC 200 on July 9, as previously planned.
While the decision is yet to be made, Holm will fight on March 5 at UFC 197, when she defends her title against Miesha Tate in Las Vegas.
Though this will be Rousey's longest break of her MMA career, she will remain visible. She is scheduled to host Saturday Night Live on Jan. 23, and will film a remake of Road House later this year.
