Wale Performs At Obama’s Final State Of The Union Address
Wale made history on Tuesday (Jan. 12), when he became the first rapper to open a State of the Union address by President Barack Obama.
Before the POTUS took the podium for his final State of the Union address, the D.C. rapper took the stage, performing a medley of his hits, including his Lady Gaga-assisted "Chillin," "The White Shoes," and "LoveHate Thing" (at the personal request of Obama).
After, Wale explained that he was humbled by the appearance. "The leader of the free world having a rapper in the White House. God bless him. Hip-hop forever," he said.
At the end of his performance, he revealed that his fifth album will be titled Shine and is due this year.
