Technics Unveils All-New SL-1200GAE
Iconic turntable brand Technics has announced its return in September, during the IFA conference in Berlin. Now, we get a first look at the production model for the SL-1200 successor.
Unveiled at this week's CES in Las Vegas, the new SL-1200GAE is being described as the "evolution" of the brand's revered direct-drive turntable.
Celebrating the 50th anniversary of Technics and its most iconic design, the relaunch product features details such as a lightweight magnesium tonearm, brass-milled and gold-plated terminals, an iron core-free direct-drive motor to eliminate cogging, twin-rotor construction and a four-layer cabinet.
