Prodigy Prepping 2 Books About Time In Prison

Prodigy of Mobb Deep

Following Prodigy's release from prison in 2011, the Mobb Deep frontman dropped an autobiographical book... and apparently, more are coming.

The rapper announced this week that he's prepping two more books slated for release in 2016, both of which will detail his three-year stint in prison.

Penned in collaboration with writer Kathy Iandoli, the first book is titled , and will be "part cookbook, part anecdotal storybook," which will explore the living conditions of prisons. In it, P will detail each meal, along with his struggles with balancing his diet with sickle cell anemia, as well as the emotional stress of being imprisoned during the holidays.

The second book, titled The State vs. Albert "Prodigy" Johnson, is described as an overall narrative of Prodigy's time in Middle State Prison Facilities. It will chronicle his experience behind bars and its affect on his career.

In 2007, Prodigy was sentenced to 3 1/2 years in prison after pleading guilty to gun possession. He was released in early 2011, after serving around three years.

Both books are scheduled for release in the second half of 2016.
