Kehlani Talks Grammy Nomination & Shade Room Diss
Following her sold-out international tour, buzzing singer Kehlani returned home to the Bay Area for two sold-out shows, dubbed "Tsunami Christmas".
During an interview with 106KMEL's Shay Diddy, the singer discussed her upcoming debut album, her Grammy nomination and false stories posted about her on The Shade Room.
Apparently, Kehlani was sick while in Europe and tried to refrain from hugging fans during a meet-n-greet... which The Shade Room flipped and made into a situation.
"I made a pop-up shop a meet-n-greet, which I wasn't supposed to be at, I met with 400 kids and stayed an extra hour over the time I was supposed to be there... umm, sick. Really sick," she explained. "I was apologizing to every kid that came in, like 'Yo, I'm trying not to hug you, because I don't want to get you sick.' I have to sing. London is my biggest show. I have to not be as sick as possible. I got back on Instagram... I look, and they took my comment and cropped it to make it look like I smashed on a little girl. I didn't respond to any comments."
As far as her album, Kehlani says she has over 30 songs recorded for it, including the single, "Did I".
For features, she has her sights set on Chris Brown and Big Sean for the album.
