Amber Rose Channels Feminist Movement Icons For PAPER
In support of her new book, How To Be A Bad Bitch, Amber Rose posed for a series of photos for PAPER as some of the feminist movement's most important icons.
In the photos, the model/author channels the likenesses of Rosie the Riveter, Pussy Riot, Gloria Steinem and Dorothy Pitman Hughes, Marlene Dietrich and Susan B. Anthony.
Rose tells the mag that she decided to identify as a feminist, when she split with husband/rapper Wiz Khalifa.
"I would look on [Wiz's] Instagram and he would have pictures of all these women all over him... and then I would post a picture of me and my son. And people would be like, 'Does your son know that his mother's a whore?'" she says. "People are like, 'Wiz is out f*cking mad bad bitches and you're at home crying over him because he's the best thing that f*cking ever happened to you and now you're just a fat, bald-headed single mother and no one will ever love you.' So yeah, I guess months of seeing sh*t like that, I was just like, 'I can't live like this. There's something wrong.' "
