Pats’ Rob Gronkowski Has Bruised Knee, Considered Week-To-Week
New England Patriots fans let out a gasp, when tight end Rob Gronkowski went with an injury on Sunday... but he may be okay.
According to ESPN, an MRI has revealed that he has a bruised right knee but no tears.
Right now, Gronkowski's injury is considered a "minor knee strain." However, he isn't expected to play this week against the Eagles, and is considered week-to-week.
Regarding his return, it will be a pain tolerance issue, sources say, but Gronk is expected to return before the end of the regular season.
Gronkowski was carted off the field after hurting his right knee in the fourth quarter of Sunday's 30-24 overtime loss to the Denver Broncos. After, the Patriots announced that he would not return to the game... which worried fans.
So far this season, Gronk has recorded 57 receptions for 931 yards and 9 touchdowns.
