Steph Curry Surpasses Father Dell’s Career 3-Pointer Mark
Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry is lights out from beyond the arc, so much so, he's surpassed the number his father Dell Curry put up during his career.
Steph made five 3-pointers in the Warriors' 107-99 overtime victory against the Brooklyn Nets on Saturday night, giving him 1,248 career three-pointers -- three more than his father.
"I knew about it going into the game," Stephen said. "It's a pretty special moment for my family. I'm sure he never dreamt of the day one of his sons would pass him."
Dell Curry reached his total in 1,083 career games, while his 27-year-old son did it in 427.
Overall, Stephen Curry moved into a tie with Derek Fisher for 40th on the career rankings and is 19 behind the next active player on the list -- LeBron James, who is ranked 35th all time with 1,267.
