Adrian Peterson Says He Can Play Until Age 40
Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson is currently third in the NFL in rushing... showing now signs of slowing down.
At 30 years old, some question whether Peterson will decline in the years to come... but the running back says he feels he can be a factor for another decade, reports ESPN.
On a conference call with St. Louis reporters this week, he discussed his future.
"If God's willing, I'll just be able to walk away from the game at the highest level whenever I decide," Peterson said.
If Peterson plays for, at least, another six or seven years, it would give him a chance to break Emmitt Smith's all-time rushing record... if he stays healthy and continues to produce, of course.
Whether it happens or not, we'll have to watch and see.
