Sports Footwear Is Booming, Hitting Record $1.4 Billion
Sneaker business is booming and is showing no signs of slowing down.
While Nike's revenues jumped to $8.41 billion in September, it appears numbers are up across the board.
Footwear industry analyst Matt Powell reports that total sports footwear sales grew $200 million in September 2015 to a record total of $1.4 billion, which he attributes, in part, to back-to-school shopping.
Much of that revenue, however, does to Nike/Jordan Brand, which took about 54 perfect of the pie, while Skechers came in second with just a 6 percent share.
