Pistons’ Jodie Meeks Out With Foot Fracture
Detroit Pistons shooting guard Jodie Meeks suffered a Jones fracture to his right foot on Wednesday night (Oct. 28)... and will be out indefinitely.
A Jones fracture is a broken bone at the base of the small toe. It's the same injury Kevin Durant suffered last season, which sidelined him for seven weeks.
Meeks, who is in his second season with the Pistons, missed 22 games last season with a stress reaction in his lower back. He finished the season averaging 11.1 points in 60 games.
He signed a $19.5 million, three-year deal with the Pistons before the 2014-15 season, after averaging 15.7 points in 77 games with the Los Angeles Lakers the previous season.
