A Closer Look At The Slingbox 500

We recently had the chance to check out the Slingbox 500, a device allowing users to stream live TV onto multiple devices.
So, if you've yet to cut the cord on cable, the Slingbox is likely a product to consider. Especially, if you're like us and want to watch live sports on the go -- you'll never miss Monday Night Football again. It lets you get the most out of your cable or satellite TV subscription.
Essentially, the box gives the user the ability to stream video (in real-time) from your TV or DVR onto your PC, tablet and/or smartphone device... in full 1080p HD resolution.
It boasts built-in Wi-Fi and HDMI support, as well as the ability to stream photos and videos from Android phones and iPhones, as well as an AirPlay-like functionality called SlingProjector, allowing iOS and Android devices to stream photos and self-shot videos to the TV screen.
Other key features include: the ability to view and manage DVR recordings; a Home TV interface with live sports stats and a gallery view; an integrated YouTube app; and no monthly fees.
We also love the wavy design, which would be inspired by modern art, and boasts a matte black plastic construction with a textured finish.
Overall, the Slingbox500 is great for streaming and is easy to set up and use... and available online for $300 USD.
