Confirmed: The Hulk To Appear In Third “Thor” Movie
There's been rumors all week, but now, it's confirmed. The Hulk will appear in the third standalone Thor film.
According to Variety, actor Mark Ruffalo is in the final negotiations to appear as Bruce Banner/The Hulk, opposite Chris Hemsworth, in Thor: Ragnarok.
It would be Ruffalo's first big screen appearance as The Hulk outside an Avengers film, and first since the character was last seen in his own standalone film in 2008, played by Edward Norton.
Thor: Ragnarok will also bring back actors Tom Hiddleston and Jaimie Alexander as Loki and Lady Sif, respectively, while Taika Waititi has been tapped to direct, with production to start in 2016.
Phase Three of the Marvel Universe will be as follows: Captain America: Civil War on May 6, 2016, followed by Doctor Strange, Guardians of the Galaxy 2, the Spider-Man reboot, Thor: Ragnarok, and various other films leading up to Avengers: Infinity War Part I and Part II.
Ant-Man and The Wasp will hit theaters on July 6, 2018.
