Drugs Found In Lamar Odom’s System, Treated As Overdose
When news spread that Lamar Odom had been found unresponsive in a Nevada brothel, most of us immediately thought that he had overdosed on drugs.
Since Tuesday (Oct. 13), E! News has confirmed, through a source at Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas, that drugs were found in his system. "Virtually every drug imaginable was found in his system," the source said.
Witnesses have also tell TMZ that Odom had cocaine and opiates in his system, and noted that track marks are seen on his arms, though it's unclear if they were fresh or from previous drug use.
Odom remains unconscious and on a ventilator, unable to breathe on his own.
Medical staff are treating Odom as the victim of an overdose, and there's word, that he's likely suffered some brain damage. "He was doing crack cocaine all weekend and he choked on his mucus," the source told E! Online. "They're now having to fix all the damage it has done."
Odom reportedly suffered from a stroke, which is caused by blockage in a blood vessel resulting in a lack of oxygen to the brain.
Despite reports, Odom's rep has released a single statement about his condition, warning to "please don't listen to the false information being circulated unofficially."
