Marvel Announces “Ant-Man” Sequel


Disney made a number of announcements this week, one being upcoming movies from Marvel.

Marvel and Disney announced they are moving ahead with sequel Ant-Man and the Wasp, now set for July 6, 2018.

Ant-Man hit theaters in July, and has earned over $409 million worldwide to date. It stars Paul Rudd, as Marvel's smallest hero.

The news mean previously announced Marvel films will be pushed back. The Black Panther movie has been moved from July 6, 2018 to a Feb. 16 2018 release, while Captain Marvel is being pushed out from Nov. 2, 2018 to March 8, 2019.

The Avengers: Infinity films will follow. The studio also scheduled three untitled Marvel movies for 2020 -- on May 1, July 10 and November 6 of that year.

Rudd's Ant-Man character is also set to appear in 2015's Captain America: Civil War.
