LeBron James Invests In Pizza Franchise, Blaze
LeBron James has reportedly opted not to renew his endorsement deal with McDonald's, in favor of investing in pizza chain, Blaze.
According to ESPN, James became an original investor in the parent company of the pizza franchise in 2012, and will now lend his name and marketing power to grow the company... and acquire further equity.
He's also partnered with Larry Levy of Levy Restaurants and his business manager, Maverick Carter, to lock up franchise rights in the Miami and Chicago market.
"This move aligns with LeBron's brand and his history of helping companies grow faster and bigger as an equity partner," Carter said.
While details were not disclosed, ESPN sources say James owns more than 10 percent of the company, which is separate from his stake in Chicago and Miami franchise rights.
