Disneyland Season Pass Breaks $1,000 Pricetag

With swelling crowds at Disneyland, the company has decided to raise ticket prices again... with one package surpassing $1,000.

According to USA Today, Disney announced Monday (Sept. 5) that it will increase the price of its top-of-the-line season pass, dubbed the Signature Plus, to $1,049 a year.

The pass allows park attendees to visit either Disneyland and Disney California Adventure any day of the year, alongside additional perks such as parking and discounts inside the park.

The news comes on the heels of major expansions to Disney parks, including the the launch of a new Cars Land in Disney California Adventure, as well as rumors of a "Star Wars Land" and "Marvel Land" to open in the near future.

Prices for Disney World were also increased. The top-of-the-line Disney pass for Disney World -- which includes visits to all four parks in Orlando -- is now $829.
