New J Dilla Project Coming: “Dillatronic”
J Dilla fans rejoice, a new project is on the way called Dillatronic.
Slated for Oct. 30, the posthumous project will consist of more than 40 instrumentals made by the late Detroit producer.
"I can smile in my heart, knowing my son's work is being shared with the people as we planned before he passed," Ma Dukes said. "I only share the best, and I only hope to continue introducing the world to the genius of J Dilla."
Dillatronic will also be released in both CD and vinyl format with three different deluxe packages.
The press release also announces the dates for the second installment of Dilla Weekend. The event is scheduled to take place February 5-7 in Miami.
J Dilla passed away in 2006 from complications due to Lupus. Two of his most prominent albums are Donuts and The Shining, the latter being the first of his posthumous releases.
