Azealia Banks Gets Into Altercation On Delta Flight
Azealia Banks got into a bit of an altercation on Monday night (Sept. 21) on a Delta flight from New York to Los Angeles.
TMZ obtained a clip of the end of the incident, in which she's heard using a homophobic slur against the flight attendant.
Here's how the story goes. The incident began when a French couple were removing baggage from an overhead bin. Banks attempted to move around them to exit the plane, but they blocked her... and she flew off the handle.
Eyewitnesses says Banks spit in the man's face, punched him, and clawed at his shirt. A flight attendant, then, intervened, taking Banks' bag and asked her to calm down. This is when the video begins, showing the rapper struggling with the attendant over her luggage, before calling him a "f*cking f*ggot."
According to TMZ, the rapper ran off the plane when the captain told her the police were called. However, they caught up with her at baggage claim, but she was let go after the couple chose not to press charges.
Banks initially responded to the allegations on Twitter, claiming the passenger hit her in the face. "Ok so I get hit in the face by a man and no one cares. The only hear what I called the man who was blocking my exit," she wrote, before deleting the tweet along with others.
"I don't care. I've said it before and I'll say it again. I don't tolerate bitchassness and I don't tolerate men putting their hands on me."
Despite Banks' claims, people on the plane say the man did not hit her, but only put his hand up for her to stop.
