Danity Kane Members Said Diddy Took Millions From Them

Dumblonde - Aubrey O'Day and Shannon Bex

Former Danity Kane members, Aubrey O'Day and Shannon Bex, have come together to form a duo called Dumblonde, which they're doing... independently.

During an interview with The Breakfast Club, the pair recalled their past in the group Danity Kane... and experience under Diddy's watch.

According to the pair, they never made money while in the Making The Band-created group, despite grossing millions from album sales and tours.

"Honestly, it wasn't even money," O'Day said. "Cause we never made any... We have two platinum albums. Let alone, grossed over a million dollars on Christina Aguilera's 'Back To Basics' tour. Opening for her. And, we came off that tour $15,000 in debt. And grossed millions."

Bex later chimed in on the conversation, suggesting that Diddy was the reason why they never made money. "We were signed to Diddy," she said. "That's all I'm gonna say... And that's one of the reasons why we are [independent]. Because you have to get your business straight because no one else is gonna care."

Despite the claims, a source tells TMZ Diddy didn't handle the group's finances.

"A source familiar with Danity Kane back in the girls' hey day tells us Diddy did not handle the finances or management of group," writes TMZ.

It's quite simple why they didn't make any money..... First, if they only grossed a million or so dollars, you have to tax that at say 50% (Thanks Uncle Sam) which leaves them with around $500,000... then you have to pay for management fees, luxury hotels (I'm sure they didn't stay at a Motel 6 during their tours) which would almost wipe out another 50% of their earnings..... Second, they have to split what's left after all of those expenses among 5 women.... So yes! Obviously they would end up in debt! Do the math people... it's that simple... people should think twice before getting with a band. They did alright back in the day regarding record sales, but let's be real... they were no One Direction grossing hundreds of millions of dollars so of course they didn't make much!
