Danity Kane Members Said Diddy Took Millions From Them
Former Danity Kane members, Aubrey O'Day and Shannon Bex, have come together to form a duo called Dumblonde, which they're doing... independently.
During an interview with The Breakfast Club, the pair recalled their past in the group Danity Kane... and experience under Diddy's watch.
According to the pair, they never made money while in the Making The Band-created group, despite grossing millions from album sales and tours.
"Honestly, it wasn't even money," O'Day said. "Cause we never made any... We have two platinum albums. Let alone, grossed over a million dollars on Christina Aguilera's 'Back To Basics' tour. Opening for her. And, we came off that tour $15,000 in debt. And grossed millions."
Bex later chimed in on the conversation, suggesting that Diddy was the reason why they never made money. "We were signed to Diddy," she said. "That's all I'm gonna say... And that's one of the reasons why we are [independent]. Because you have to get your business straight because no one else is gonna care."
Despite the claims, a source tells TMZ Diddy didn't handle the group's finances.
"A source familiar with Danity Kane back in the girls' hey day tells us Diddy did not handle the finances or management of group," writes TMZ.
