Tokyo Vanity Threatens To Sue Young Thug Over “Best Friend”
Louisiana rapper Tokyo Vanity took to Instagram on Monday (Sept. 14) to express her frustration in what she sees as Young Thug ripping off her song with his cut, "Best Friend."
"My song is copywritten and trademarked, bitch," she says of her song, "That's My Best Friend," in an IG video. "I could sue if I want to, bitch. I will spit in y'all f*cking face. Keep telling me what the f*ck I got. F*ck Young Thug.”
She also went on to share a screenshot of a direct message from Young Thug's director, asking her to appear in the "Best Friend" video, which was released this week.
"I declined because I didn't want to be in that video to that pooh-ass song," Tokyo says. "That song is pooh as his f*cking dreads, bitch. He had to steal something, bitch. Career going down the drain, bitch. Got dropped from the label. Birdman f*cking over."
Young Thug has not responded.
Thugger's "Best Friend" song appears on his upcoming mixtape, Slime Season.
